Great Shots: Snow, snuggles, sports

Kevin Raymond shows us the bright side of the winter vortex. Beauty can be found everywhere.

Eric Blankenship took this mesmerizing photo showing the snowy road to (?), actually, Fail Road.

(From Mary Ketchmark) A mother-daughter bonding over the KUP: Amy Spagna Welkie was a junior at LaCrosse High School and on the basketball team that won the PCC Kup from Westville in the 1991-1992 season (27 years ago).  They won by two points. LaCrosse had not won the KUP back until Jan. 25, 2019, when the Lady Tigers won over South Central by two points. Amy’s daughter, Kaylee Welkie, is now a LaCrosse sophomore. They hung the plaque from Amy’s year of winning in the locker room for inspiration and it looks like it did the job. They came away winners. The crowd went nuts after the final buzzer. Pictured here are the Lady Tigers and coaches.
