3 males, 1 armed with a hammer, rob Family Express on West U.S. 20

Three males, one wielding a hammer, held up the clerk at the Family Express at 7687 W. U.S. 20 Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at about 10 p.m.

The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office reports that one of the three males held the door open while the other two entered the store, jumped onto the counter and went into the employee area. They ordered the clerk to open the registers. They took about $83 and then left on foot, going west.

All three suspects are believed to be African American, about 5’6”– 5’9” in height and in their late teens to early 20s. If anyone has any information or may have witnessed the robbery, please contact Chief of Detectives Captain Patrick Cicero at (219) 326-7700, ext. 2404.

    Punk thugs. Risking prison time for a whopping $27.66 each. What a great haul.
