Three LaPorte men were arrested early Monday morning, Feb. 11, 2019, after they were caught burglarizing vehicles in Westville overnight.

Facing charges are Austen Wood, 19 (Theft, Level 6 Felony, and Unauthorized Entry of a Vehicle, B Misdemeanor); Dominic Jones, 24 (Theft, Level 6 Felony; Unauthorized Entry of a Vehicle, B Misdemeanor; and Failure to Appear on arrest warrant out of St. Joseph County); and Quinn Daley, 19 (Theft, Level 6 Felony).

Between 2 and 3 a.m., LaPorte County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 100 block of Spruce Street, Westville, involving an SUV dropping off two people. Deputy Josh Smith stopped an SUV matching the description. Daley, the driver, told Smith that he had indeed dropped off two men who were stealing from vehicles.

Misspent Youth….the period when one is young and spend’s one’s time doing foolish, bad, or frivolous things. What these 3 have accomplished in their short lifetimes will probably be represented in court as a product of our society, failed parenting or some other excuse. Bring back the draft and give these wannabe hoodlums some discipline, meaning and purpose in their lives.
