5 juveniles charged with armed robbery of pizza delivery man

Five juveniles, ages 14-16, were found and arrested after a Domino’s Pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint in the 700 block of East 10th Street, Michigan City, on Sunday night, Feb. 10, 2019.

Michigan City Police said the delivery man was approached between 6 and 7 p.m. by the juveniles. One displayed a handgun and the man was told to hand over money. The group then fled with money as well as the food.

Officers followed footprints in the snow to 707 E 10th St., where they found the suspects, a handgun and other evidence. Four — 3 males ages 15 and 16 and a female age 14 — are charged with Armed Robbery, Level 3 Felony. The fifth suspect, 16, is charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The officers responding were Cpl. James Glasgow, Cpl. Greg Miller, Off. Adam Brinkman, Off. Melissa Sopher and Off. Cody Washluske.  Anyone with additional information about this case is asked to called Det./Cpl. Painter at 219-874-3221 Ext. 1077.

    they deserve incarceration but due to ages I am sure it will be slap on wrist
