Deputies are currently at the scene of a train car derailment along the Norfolk Southern railway between Fail Road and CR 150 East. A large number of the twenty (20) westbound train cars have derailed. The train was mostly empty, no hazardous materials were released and there are no injuries associated with this incident.

Since both sets of the side-by-side tracks have been affected, all train traffic has been halted. As a result, other Norfolk Southern crossings east and west of the scene may become blocked.

Norfolk Southern personnel have arrived at the scene and are assessing the situation.
