What’s the score? Who cares? Faculty and students take the court for charity

The scoreboard displayed a 62-59 faculty victory thanks to fun-loving tampering with the score throughout the game, much like Florida’s election results some years back. The true score will never be known. Members of the LaPorte Slicer boys and girls basketball teams battled faculty member in a fundraising game Friday, March 15, 2019. A large crowd filled the lower seating of Slicer gym to watch the game with proceeds going to Riley Children’s’ Hospital. The event was orchestrated by LPHS Student Council secretary Tiffany Lin, a senior, and Kesling Middle School teacher Cindy Ault (photo 1), with additional help from LPHS Student Council sponsors Joe Ruiz and Rachel Dawson, and LPHS Student Council President Jenny Kievert and VP Jimmy Maloney. Below you’ll see faculty/staff participants trying their level best to make it a game. All in great fun for a good cause!
