April 24, 1919 — Two boys, aged 14 and 16, were returned from here to their Chicago home from which they ran away more than a week ago. They were glad to return to the parental abiding place.

April 24, 1969 — Kesling Junior High School is scheduled for completion by September 1971. Bids for construction of the estimated $3.5 million project will be received on May 15.

April 24, 1994 — Robert Gilmore and Dennis Smith seek the LaPorte Circuit Court judgeship.

April 24, 2009 — The LaPorte Slicers baseball team snaps a perhaps unprecedented four-game losing streak and beats the Michigan City Wolves at Wolves Park, 13-2.
