A LaPorte woman who ran a daycare service in her home has been charged with the battery of a 4-year-old child under her care.
Billie Krueger, 29, operated the daycare at 201 Roosevelt St. According to a LaPorte Police report, she struck the boy, causing a “severe laceration,” in April 2019.
After an investigation, police arrested Krueger on May 9, 2019, charging her with Felony Battery on a Person Less than 14 Years Old.
The child’s mother had reported the injury to police. She said the boy “had red marks on his face and a cut on his upper and lower lip” and when she asked how he was injured, he replied, “Billie.” The boy said he had clogged the toilet and Krueger got mad. He said she slapped him in the face twice and “bopped” him in the mouth twice.
Krueger was jailed and ultimately released on a $755 cash-only bond.

Loss of reputation loss of income loss of freedom court cost and fines and probation because of a clogged toilet and now any time a toilet clogs she will think of this.I hope this child can move forward and forget about this.
