Joe Henning, Max Cotter are New Prairie’s valedictorian, salutatorian

Joe Henning is valedictorian and Max Cotter is salutatorian of New Prairie High School’s Class of 2019.

— Joe Henning is the son of Jim and Cathleen Henning. He currently has a 4.595 GPA. Joe is a Lilly Endowment Scholarship recipient. He was the varsity tennis co-captain and sectional champ. He served as the robotics engineering lead for the Las Pumas Robotics Team. Joe was inducted into the National Honor Society and served as senior class president. Joe will be attending the University of Notre Dame to pursue degrees in Physics and Computer Science. He plans to attend graduate school and receive a PhD in Physics.

Max Cotter

— Maddox Cotter, who currently has a 4.503 GPA, is the son of Ken Cotter and Rochelle Jones. Max was inducted into National Honor Society and has been a very active member of the Las Pumas Robotics Club. He has presented at the First Robotics World Championship, as well as served as elected captain. He will be attending Dartmouth College to study Biomedical Engineering before attending medical school.
