June 13, 1919 — That the house building movement is the most vitally important problem LaPorte has ever attempted to solve is the consensus of opinion expressed by businessmen at the courthouse.

June 13, 1969 — Robert F. Coffeen, formerly associated with WLOI, is appointed to the LaPorte Public Library board by Circuit Court Judge Alban M. Smith.

June 13, 1994 — A surprise plan to build a middle school in four years solves the New Prairie School Corp.’s current building plan expense problem.

June 13, 2009 — With more people to serve, the Salvation Army looks to fill empty food pantry shelves.
