https://mediaspectrum.net/healthcare/ buy now UPDATE JUNE 15-16 FROM LAPORTE PARK DEPARTMENT: “It has been an amazing week for our community at the Fort La Play Porte build, but also one with a few setbacks. While our volunteers have been fantastic and we have made tremendous progress, the rainy conditions last Sunday into Monday, most of the day Thursday and again this weekend have delayed completion. We still have a lot to finish and will hold volunteer shifts Monday through Thursday from 5-8:30 p.m. If interested, please sign up at www.fortlaplayporte.com. We are confident in completing soon what will be an amazing playground for our community. For now, the playground remains closed to the public. At this time, we do not have an anticipated time for opening the playground or the dedication ceremony. Thank you to our sponsors, donors and volunteers, and to the committee members and other volunteers who spent 14-hour days on the site all week.”

It’s a pretty cool sight at Fort La Play Porte in Kesling Park this week as community members — some relatives, friends or coworkers and some former strangers — come together to improve and enlarge the playground. The work continues through June 15 and it’s not too late to volunteer. Helpers of all kinds are especially needed Thursday evening, Friday and Saturday. To sign up to volunteer, visit www.fortlaplayporte.com. Lunch and dinner are served daily at the site. For more information, visit the web page or contact Volunteer Coordinator Lindsey Cooper at lindsey@fortlaplayporte.com.

Looking good out there…A big thank you to all that gave in materials and labor.
This is something that Laporte can be proud of and will bring many years of enjoyment to the kids that visit Kesling Park.
