Great Shots: unfriendly and friendly skies, and a big nap buddy

These first two shots below were taken Saturday, July 20, and sent by Mike Kellems: “Same storm, different perspective … the top photo was taken by Tim Shortt Saturday evening south and east of Rolling Prairie. The bottom photo with the rainbow was taken (by Mike) about the same time near Pinola.” The next shot: one last scene from the fair, taken by Bob Wellinski. We’ve heard of weighted blankets, but this is ridiculous. The final is by Shannon Woods: “On this very muggy afternoon (July 15), the clouds came out on the east side. It looked like a cartoon character.” Email your Great Shots as .jpgs to Be sure to include the photographer’s name and a bit of information about the photo(s).
