Dec. 14, 1919 — The emergency schedule curtailing the use of gas and electricity for lighting and power issued on December 8 is canceled beginning at midnight on December 15.

Dec. 14, 1969 — Sacred Heart Catholic Church will construct a new church in the spring of 1970. One of the sites under consideration is a portion of the old City Park on Park Street.

Dec. 14, 1994 — A Boston Middle School girl is slain overnight in her home across from the Lincoln Elementary School playground.

Dec. 14, 2009 — A woman who worked as a cleaning lady for a couple for six weeks took cash, jewelry, phones and medication from her employer and then disappeared.
