“Guys and Dolls” performances by La Porte Little Theatre Club now canceled

The threat of the coronavirus has prompted the La Porte Little Theatre to cancel performances of “Guys and Dolls,” previously scheduled for May 8 through May 17, 2020.
The theatre is following the Federal and State guidelines regarding large gatherings scheduled for the next 8 weeks, said Katy Gartland, theatre spokeswoman.
For those who hold tickets for this production, Gartland suggested the following options:
“We hope that you will consider donating the value of your ticket to the La Porte Little Theatre. Your small gesture of kindness could have a profound effect on the future of our organization, and we appreciate your consideration of this option,” she said.
Gartland said ticket holders also have the option of receiving a refund. Credit or exchanges, however, are not available because the theatre is at the end of its 2019-2020 season.
Ticket holders who wish to receive a refund should email lpltc@yahoo.com by April 5, 2020.
“The theatre and all of the volunteers are saddened by this challenging decision,” Gartland said. “However, we know that we must do our best for this historical public health duty. We appreciate your understanding as we work together as a community to meet the challenges of current events.”
