Presbyterian Church of La Porte

In accordance with Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb’s order for Hoosiers to shelter in place because of the coronavirus pandemic, The Presbyterian Church of La Porte will discontinue worship services through at least April 12, 2020. In addition to no services, there will also be no music through speakers to people in their cars in the parking lot, and no carillon music.

The “20 Minutes with God” Ministerial Association series is also cancelled.

However, Rev. Peggy Huston will continue to post a service from her home each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. CST in a live feed on the church’s Facebook page, facebook.com/PresbyterianChurchofLaPorte/.

A Facebook account isn’t needed to tune in and the sermon will be recorded so it can be watched later. Huston will also post devotions on the Facebook page, and Director of Children and Youth Ministries Aaron Lickliter will post the children’s sermons.

The church office will remain closed for at least two weeks.

These changes will stay in place until Holcomb announces any changes.

Does your church have a brief news announcement?  “Articles of Faith” will be appearing at the end of the week on WNLP. Please submit your church’s news brief in order to be considered for publication for the upcoming weekend: wnlp@whatsnewlaporte.com.
