LP Hospital construction delayed; disinfecting and further testing planned

Following reports that construction at the new hospital has been suspended because 10 workers have tested posted for COVID-19, La Porte Hospital has issued the following statement:
“We are in close communication with Robins & Morton, the general contractor for the new hospital construction project. Workers from the site are being tested and we’ve been told a number of them have tested positive and are under the care of their healthcare provider.
“Construction is temporarily suspended to allow time for a third party professional cleaning company to disinfect the worksite, following CDC and OSHA guidelines. This will also provide time for workers to be tested.
“Given the prevalence of COVID-19 in our region and the information we now know about its ability to be spread by individuals who are asymptomatic, we support this course of action.
“We are confident in the manner in which Robins & Morton  has addressed the situation. They have informed us that even more stringent and audited protocols will be in place when work resumes. We appreciate Robins & Morton’s  efforts and their concern for the safety of all of those involved in the construction of our new hospital.”

Hearing this, I wonder how this will affect the completion of the hospital. Will this delay the opening and by how many weeks? Just curious. I am glad that the workers are being observed and treated.
