On Sunday Rev. Peggy Huston will preach live at 9:30 a.m. on Facebook, presbyterianchurchof laporte, on “The Mission of the Church,” based on Ephesians 2:19-21. Huston will be in the sanctuary with John Gouwens, who will offer music at the organ. On Sunday, May 31, people can watch the sermon live at 9:30 a.m. on Facebook or in the church parking lot at 11:30 a.m. as the church resumes hosting parking lot services. On that day worship will center around Pentecost and attendees are encouraged to decorate their cars with red, fly pinwheels out the car windows, and “let face masks move as flags of victory in the wind,” said Huston.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
St. Paul’s continues to offer only one online service at this point, a 9 a.m. morning prayer service on Thursdays via the church’s Facebook page (
In addition the judicatory, the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Indiana, offers four online services daily,  Monday through Saturday, in addition to a Sunday morning service.  Those services can be found at

“As time  continues without in-person services, we may decide to add more locally.  Until then we are relying on our Diocese, and other parish, to share their resources and creativity,” said Mother Michelle Walker, the priest at St. Paul’s.
