Local attorney tapped to replace Voeltz on county election board

Chuck Waterson

Attorney Chuck Waterson has been selected as the Republican representative to the La Porte County Election Board, Mitch Feikes, La Porte County Republican Party chairman, announced today.
Waterson will be replacing Andrew Voeltz, who has resigned from the election board.
Waterson, a life-long resident of La Porte, is an associate attorney with Braje, Nelson & Janes, Michigan City, Ind. He is a graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law.
Feikes said he is excited to have “a bright young attorney represent the party. He is energetic and excited to help improve local elections. This is a difficult time,” he said, alleging that “Democrats [have] mishandled the recent primary.”

As a poll worker, I worked with (R) & (D) “people”, competent, conscientious, trained, and dedicated to providing a successful election for fellow county members. I ask, who decides on the vendor?
