Great shot: Baltimore Orioles … and jelly

“One of my favorite springtime events is the arrival of the Baltimore Orioles,” William Power, retired La Porte High School science teacher, writes WNLP. “Just a year ago my friend Scott suggested that I get some grape jelly to attract orioles. It’s been raining orioles ever since. I placed a jar next to the rain gauge, filled it up and the rest is history.

“The word must be out already, because sometimes the stores are out of jelly.”

If you have a Great Shot or more to share, send them as .jpg attachments to wnlp@whatsnewlaporte.com. Be sure to include the photographer’s name and a bit of information about each photo.
