Purdue extension offers “Just in Time Parenting”

Purdue Extension-LaPorte County announces “Just in Time Parenting,” a program that offers free newsletters specific to a child’s age and needs and delivered each month by e-mail. Those who don’t have a child yet but are expecting can also benefit, since the program covers pregnancy as well.

The newsletters are an educational partnership of educators and researchers from land-grant universities across the country.

Each newsletter includes easy-to-use guides on how one’s child is developing, tips on raising healthy, happy children along with tools and strategies for solving and coping with the challenges of raising children.

To sign up, participants need simply provide an email and their child’s birth date — no personal information will be asked. Visit https://jitp.info/

Purdue Extension’s community partners include AME Consulting, Dunebrook, Franciscan Michigan City, LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte County Public Library, Prairie View Elementary School, Otis R Bowen Center, Rolling Prairie Elementary,  Salvation Army of LaPorte, and Southshore Skipping Stones.
