Food bank to make distributions on Wednesday

The Food Bank of Northern Indiana is returning to La Porte High School to distribute food supplies for La Porte families.

Food distribution will take place 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 1, with supplies being handed out in the F Street parking lot at LPHS.

A truck will be on site and adults over 18 representing their family can drive up to the truck to collect supplies.  Those representing their family should be prepared to tell the volunteers how many people are in the family that they are picking up food for.  No other questions will be asked.

All greater LaPorte community members are welcome;  there is a limit of one representative and one distribution of supplies per family.

Families picking up student lunches at the I Street entrance at the high school on that day are encouraged to drive around the block to the F Street parking lot and take advantage of the Food Bank supplies that will be handed out during the same 10 a.m. to noon time frame, La Porte Community School Corporation officials said.
