State Health Department: county’s positive COVID-19 cases rose to 521 over the weekend

The Indiana State Department of Health is reporting that La Porte County’s number of positive COVID-19 cases has climbed to 521 over the weekend, up by nine cases from Friday. Late this afternoon, an additional positive case was added, bringing the tally 522.

The number of COVID-19 deaths remains at 25, a number that has held steady.

The department regularly issues an official coronavirus update which includes, among other things, public and professional resources, facts regarding the virus, and a map of the entire state with a county-by-county breakdown of the positive cases, deaths and number of people tested.
