La Porte County Solid Waste District
Even though the La Porte County Solid Waste District office will be closed Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day, there will be no delay in the recycling pickup schedule. The compost site will be closed on Friday and Saturday, July 3-4.
The SWD office will re-open 8 a.m. Monday, July 6.
American Legion Post 83
The American Legion Post 83, 228 E. Lincoln Way, La Porte, will be hosting “Take 2: 2020 Breaking Free” karaoke night with Funkytown Tunes at 7 p.m. Friday, July 3. The event is open to the public. Finger foods will be available. Those with questions may call 219-380-9383.
