A woman is granted a divorce on grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment from a man with the ring name Young Tigo, who said his fellow fighters would testify that he trained by beating his wife.

1970

The U.S. Defense Department calls for an August draft call of 10,000 men — 5,000 fewer than in July and the lowest August quota since the Vietnam build-up began in 1965.

1995

A shopping mall in South Korea collapses, killing a t least 113 people and injuring 910; 246 people are unaccounted for.

2010

A Parents and Friends caseworker is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the bank accounts of senior citizens whom she was supposed to look after financially.

    Regarding item 1… it’s great to see not much has changed in the past 100 years!
