A man gambling with death goes over Horseshoe Falls, Niagara, in a barrel and dies. His wife and 11 children live in Bristol, England.

1970

The worst highway disaster in San Francisco’s Golden Gate bridge’s 33-year history, a head-on collision, kills nine. Another is in critical condition.

1995

Temple News Agency is one of 25 food businesses in the county to score a perfect 100 on its sanitary inspection. It is easier for establishments without a full kitchen to get a perfect score.

2010

Folks come to the neighborhood formerly known as “Little Warsaw” to eat pierogi and perform polka dances at Sacred Heart Church’s annual Polish Festival.
