Girls volleyball

The matches that occur in the main gym at Saturday’s La Porte volleyball tournament may be viewed on the IHSAA Champions Network using the following link:

Boys tennis

The boys tennis match that was postponed Tuesday at Crown Point has been rescheduled to Monday, Sept. 14.

Varsity girls soccer

The Slicer varsity girls soccer team has added a match at John Glenn on Sept. 24, starting at 5 p.m.

Girls varsity golf

The Slicers were able to add two wins to their record Wednesday by beating Wheeler and John Glenn, scoring 195, at Beechwood. Scoring for LaPorte was Jayme Noll’s 45, Abby Casto’s 47, Molly Menne’s 51, and Ella Schable’s 52. Medalist honors for the match went to Megan Kobelt of John Glenn with a 42. The Slicers will participate in the Pat Ford Invitational on Friday at Beechwood.

The Junior Varsity team also earned two more wins this evening. Scoring for LaPorte was Gabby Hull’s 50, Lauren Miskowicz’s 53, Rosie Korell’s 54, along with Brooklyn Herod/Kennedy Riley who each carded a 57. The JV team will take on Penn and Northwood next Wednesday at Knollwood Country Club.

Boys varsity soccer

Elkhart topped the Slicers Wednesday in a well-fought contest. La Porte dropped the game 6-0, but played hard in what was a very difficult game to play after playing the previous night. The Slicers will look to improve going into Saturday’s game against Lake Central, which is also senior day for the team.

Boys varsity tennis

LPHS beat Portage 5-0 Thursday. Here is the recap:

Girls varsity volleyball

Varsity volleyball defeated the Valparaiso Vikings 3-1 Thursday in 4 exciting sets. Senior Paige Conklin had an incredible match with 16 kills, 4 aces, and 23 assists. Lesley Marshall led the team with 17 digs. Olivia Voelker was close behind with 14 digs. The Slicers return home on Saturday for the Slicer Invite.
