La Porte High School Athletic Director Ed Gilliland reports the following:

Varsity football

The information following was provided by the Lake Central Athletic Department concerning ticket sales for this Friday’s Slicer football game at Lake Central.

Please send this link out to your parents and community to purchase their ticket for the VFB game on Friday, https://ticketracker.com/SelectSection.aspx?eventId=149286.  There will be NO tickets sold on Friday night at the game. Click Link -> Select Visitors -> Number of tickets and they may either print out their tickets or use their phone for the ticket takers to scan.  All visitors should enter the complex using the gates on the East side nearest the soccer field, directly behind the visitors sideline.  DAC passes are accepted.


Boy soccer

The Slicer boys soccer team has added a match to their schedule this Friday at Kouts, beginning at 5 p.m. La Porte time.

Boys varsity tennis
The Slicers beat Knox High School Wednesday, 5-0. Here are the stats:
1S Quentin Spears over Devan Himes 6-1, 6-0
2S Alex Ake over Gabe Manning 6-0, 6-0
3S Graham Siefker over Brandon Fifer 6-0, 6-0
1D Liam Wolf / Carson Stalbaum over Colin Bottorff / Carter Fornelli 6-0, 6-1
2D Ty Maudlin / Niko Chrzaszcz over Brayden Branham / Aj Turner 6-0, 6-3
Boys varsity soccer
La Porte fell in a tough fought battle with Portage Wednesday, 3-2. The Slicers went down 1-0 in the first half, but were able to battle back and find an early second half goal to tie the game at 1-1 coming from Jose Villano with the assist from Aaron Feikas. Portage scored the third goal of the game with Joe Keiley scoring the second for the Slicers late in the game. Slicers gave up a late goal to fall 3-2, but look to get back to winning ways Friday at Kouts.
Girls varsity volleyball
Varsity volleyball defeated Lake Central 3-1 on the road Tuesday. The Slicers showed resilience bouncing back from losing the 3rd set. Stat leaders for the game were Olivia Voelker with 17 kills, Halle Seaburg with 25 assists, and Lesley Marshall with 22 digs. The Slicers return home Thursday to face Chesterton.
Girls varsity golf
The Slicers traveled to Sand Creek Monday to participate in the DAC Invite. Unfortunately, it was not our best round, but the girls finished their rounds strong. Leading LaPorte in scoring was Jayme Noll’s 95; Molly Menne’s 99; Abby Casto’s 106; and Emma Mitschelen’s 111. Medalist honors for the match went to Michigan City’s Lia Thomas, with an impressive 76. The Slicers will travel to Knollwood on Wednesday before hosting sectionals on Friday at Beechwood,
