Divine intervention?
Some believe it was as the rain stopped just as nearly 150 parishioners from the three LaPorte Catholic parishes (Sacred Heart, St. Joseph and St. Peter’s) participated Sunday in an Eucharistic Procession through LaPorte.
The procession began at St. Joseph Catholic Church and then stopped at five locations where the they prayed for special intentions at each location. The stops included: St. Peter’s Catholic Church – Pray for the sanctity of life; City Hall – Pray for our police, fire, and first responders; County Courthouse – Pray for our city and county leaders, our nation, and our world; LaPorte Hospital – Pray for the sick, our healthcare workers, and an end to the pandemic and finally, Boston Middle School – Pray for our teachers, principals, & students.
The rains returned as the group finished its route back at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
