Fairfield defeats Slicers, 27-17

The Slicers suffered a non-conference loss Friday night against Fairfield, 27-17.

Leading LaPorte offensively was Lanti Biggers with 7 points, 1 assist and 2 offensive rebounds.

Defensively, Lauren Pollock led the Slicers with 5 rebounds, 1 blocked shot and 1 steal.

Leading scorer for the game was Fairfield’s Bailey Willard with 10 points.

Cougars defeat Adams, 57-43

The Lady Cougars added another one to the win column with a total team contribution as they honored their three seniors, Jordan Winters, Allison Pavlick and Rachel Deutscher.

The team shot an impressive 23/27 from the free-throw line. The Lady Cougars were led by sophomore Eva Skye-Dodds, who filled up the stat sheet with 19 points, 5 steals and 2 assists. Freshman Morgan White chipped in 10 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds.

The Cougars’ win improves their overall record to 2-3 while sitting 2-1 in NIC play.

Slicer girls will host Crown Point Wednesday

The Slicers JV and varsity girls basketball teams compete against Crown Point on Wednesday, Nov. 25, in Slicer Gym with the JV game starting at 5:30 p.m.

Only 2 family members per player may attend Slicer boys games at Riley

Attached is information concerning the protocol to be followed at next week’s Slicer boys JV and varsity basketball game at South Bend Riley.

Tickets will not be available for the general public. Each player will be allotted two voucher tickets for parents or family members. The vouchers will allow them to purchase a ticket at the gate.
