Singing Co. of La Porte County sends this note to the community

Typically, this time of year is very busy for most musicians. We would be chin deep in preparations for our 4th annual “It’s Christmas” Concert that would be held this week. Our choirs would be rehearsing with the orchestra, the auditorium would be getting decorated, and an audience would be filling the seats. But, 2020 has not been a typical year for all of us.  We miss everyone terribly.

For The Singing Co., 2021 will not start out much different than the end of 2020. The Board of Directors, along with Musical Director Matthew Nelson, has decided there is not a safe and productive path for us to move forward with programming for the remainder of the 2020/2021 season. The safety and wellness of our members, staff and volunteers is of the utmost importance.

We have hope, though! We believe that by August 2021, we can begin a new season with exciting music, new and old, to share with the community!

We encourage you to stay in contact with us.

We ask for your continued support.  In order to keep moving toward our 2021/2022 season goals, we need your support. The Singing Co. has administrative costs that continue, regardless of our eliminated programming.  To help support us, please use the link below.

Mr. Nelson misses you! He misses making beautiful music with you! He wishes you all good health and a wonderful holiday season and looks forward to meeting with all of you in our 2021/2022 season!
