Christmas Eve and Sunday worship at LP Presbyterian

At The Presbyterian Church of La Porte, there will be a Christmas Eve carillon concert at 2 p.m. at the parking lot, 307 Kingsbury Ave., and a 6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve worship service on Facebook at Presbyterian Church of La Porte and on Zoom.

Sunday worship will be at 9:30 a.m. only, on Zoom, Facebook and over the radio at 89.1 FM in the parking lot. Rev. Abbi Heimach-Snipes and her father, former Associate Pastor Rev. Bob Heimach, will share a dialogue sermon on the great relief the Christ Child provides.

Drive-through communion on Christmas Eve at St. Paul’s Episcopal

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will offer drive-through communion from 3 to 3:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve in the church parking lot on the corner of Indiana Avenue and Harrison Street, La Porte. Cars should enter the parking lot from Harrison Street (which is one way going east) and exit onto Indiana Avenue.

The drive-through communion will be administered by the priest-in-charge, Rev. Canon Michelle I. Walker. It is designed for people who would like to receive communion but are unable or uncomfortable attending the in-person services at 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. that evening, or at 9 a.m. Christmas Day. All three services can be watched live at facebook.com/stpaullaporte.

Anyone who wants to attend a service in person should register here: stpaulslaporte.org.

St. Paul’s can accommodate 32 people socially distanced; masks must be worn and temperatures will be taken at the Harrison Street door.

We pray that however you celebrate the birth of the Messiah this unusual Christmas season, that you will feel embraced and loved by God, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Merry Christmas!
