LCSO musician spotlight: Trey Bradshaw

Trey Bradshaw is in his first season with the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra as acting principal flute player.

Trey began his studies in the sixth grade in Florida and, after a rocky start as last chair in a 20-person flute section, fell in love with music. He now holds degrees in flute performance from Indiana University and the University of Miami. Trey has also had the opportunity to play with the National Orchestral Institute, the Miami Classical Music Festival and the Opera Maya Festival Orchestra.

He is looking forward to spending two months this summer in Breckinridge, Colo., where he will perform with the prestigious National Repertory Orchestra.

Besides performing, Trey is a dedicated music educator who has a private flute studio with students from across Northwest Indiana. In his free time, he enjoys kayaking, watching irreverent comedies, and drafting intricate to-do lists for himself.
