LCSO musician spotlight: Afyah Giuliani

Student Apprentice Afyah Giuliani, an 11th grader living in La Porte, is now in her 2nd year as a violinist with the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra. She has played violin for 10 years.

The daughter of David and Anyoh Giuliani and the oldest of five, Afyah enjoys singing and making music with her siblings. In addition to the violin, Afyah also plays the piano and mandolin as well as serving as a private violin teacher.

Music is a very important part of her family life as she joins a guitarist, two pianists, a cellist and two violinists besides herself. Singing together as a family is a favorite bonding activity for Afyah.

Some folks may remember that Afyah was a Youth Finalist in the 2018 Hoosier Star competition,  where she sang “Memory” from CATS. She is thankful to God for her musical abilities, her family for their support and encouragement, and the LCSO for the opportunity to play with so many talented musicians.
