Great Shots: beauty found even in damage

WNLP reader Glen Richardson was one of many homeowners who experienced tree damage in the New Year’s Day ice storm. But positivity perseveres: “Most of the white pines around our home suffered significant ice damage, similar to the damage in Kesling Park and other nearby locations,” Glen wrote to WNLP. “The cut ends of these broken white pine branches, exuding sap from the xylem cells, should remind us of nature’s extraordinary complexity and beauty.”
Glen took these shots with an iPhone 11 on Jan. 9 in the Fairfield subdivision.
