What the heck is a Cricut machine? It’s described as a brand of various computer-controlled cutting machines designed for home crafters that cut paper, felt, vinyl, fabric, leather, matboard, and wood. Many people apparently got Cricuts for Christmas or had them already, and the La Porte Park and Recreation Department is ready to instruct them.
Please bring your Cricut machine, cords and device/laptop to the class if you have them. Chadderdon will have a Cricut machine and laptop for her demonstration. Before attending the class, please create your own free Design Space account at cricut.com. Bring your login information with you to class.
During the class, you will make a beautiful hanging snowflake for your winter decor. All supplies and reference handouts are included.
The class will take place at the La Porte Civic Auditorium Ceramics Room (use back outside stairs at Plain and Woodward streets) from 2 to 4 p.m. Masks and social distancing will be required. The class size is small, so register soon by calling the park office at 326-9600 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays. The class fee is $35.
