La Porte County’s number of COVID-19 cases decreases

 

La Porte County’s COVID-19 status in the state is still red, meaning it’s among the highest county levels of positive COVID-19 cases in the state. But that rate has decreased in the past 10 days.

On Jan. 15, the most recent time WNLP posted statistics from the Indiana Department of Health, La Porte County’s all-test positivity rate was more than 17 percent. As of Jan. 25, the all-test positivity rate is at 15.8 percent.

The number of deaths has increased by 11, however. On Jan. 15 the death total for La Porte County was 153. As of Jan. 25 it’s 164.

The updated number of positive cases is 9,145, up from 8,589 on Jan. 15.
