LCSO musician highlight: Jackson Roush

A member of the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra’s Double Bass Section, Jackson Roush received his Bachelor of Music Degree in Composition in 2018 from Valparaiso University, where he also attained a 2nd major in Computer Science.

Currently, Jackson is pursuing a Master of Music Degree in Composition at Ball State University, where he also teaches music theory as a graduate assistant.

In addition to the LCSO, he is active as a composer and as an instrumentalist and producer for regional popular music acts, having recorded and performed in various genres.

When not musically active, Jackson also enjoys cinema and casual walks.
