Dawn Krueger-Beal, 1972-2021


Dawn Marie Krueger-Beal, 48, of Michigan City, Ind., passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 26, 2021, in her home.

On May 8, 1972, in Michigan City, David and Sue Krueger gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

Dawn was baptized at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Michigan City. She was her parents’ little princess who grew healthy and strong into a little girl who loved animals, Barbies, Cabbage Patch Kids and all of her friends. Dawn grew into a beautiful young lady, loving her beloved brother and family dearly. She always worked hard and passed out her love to her many family and friends.

Dawn worked in customer relations at La Porte Credit Union, Bethlehem Credit Union and Horizon Bank. She was also employed by Help at Home; she loved caring for her patients. Dawn enjoyed traveling to Mexico, reading, crafting and watching her favorite TV shows. Also, she enjoyed animals, especially cats.

Surviving are her parents, Sue Krueger and David Krueger of Michigan City; brother, Jonathan Krueger of Michigan City; uncles, Robert J. (Valerie) Eilers of Rolling Prairie, Ind., and Larry (Tammy) Krueger of Michigan City; former husband and friend, Gabriel Beal of La Porte; and several cousins and friends.

Dawn was welcomed by her grandparents, Robert H. and Lila Eilers and Edward and Dorothy Krueger; great-grandparents, Westley and Ila Wood; and friends at the heavenly gates as she joined them in God’s open embrace.

Cremation will take place. A private celebration of her life and burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, La Porte, is handling arrangements.

Heaven knows we need never be ashamed of our tears, for they are our rain upon the blinding dust of earth, overlying our hard hearts. She will be truly missed by all.
