LCSO musician highlight: Brennan Reid

Orchestra members Brennan Reid, Christina Baumann and Trey Bradshaw.

Brennan Reid started learning music at the age of 2 while enrolled in Kindermusik. Ever since then, he’s had an instrument in his hand, from piano to piccolo.

Now in his 5th year with the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra playing the flute and piccolo, Brennan is a success story from the LCSO’s Drayton Family Children’s Educational Concerts, which he attended as a 4th grader and heard the flute section play the theme to “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”

Brennan now maintains a busy schedule between working as a network training and hiring manager for the Dunkin’ Donuts franchise in Valparaiso/Chesterton, as well as being a bartender at “Up Your Alley,” a deluxe entertainment facility in Schererville.

Like the other musicians in the LCSO, Brennan is excited to be a part of the orchestra in the coming season with its next music director.
