Arturo Barron, 1975-2021


Arturo Zobek Barrón, 45, of La Porte, Ind., passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born Sept. 21, 1975, in Nochistlan, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Arturo and Josefina (Bustos) Barrón.

Arturo worked as a forklift driver for many years at Markman Peat Corporation. He enjoyed listening to music at all times, whether in good health or bad. He enjoyed helping as many people as possible. Arturo always had a smile on his face and made those around him happy. He had a positive outlook about life, even after he found out he was ill. Arturo always worked hard to achieve his goals and said nothing was impossible. He was a member of  St. Joseph Catholic Church.

On Dec. 20, 2000, in Zacatecas, Mexico, he married Evangelina Sandoval, who survives.

Also surviving are his daughters, Eva Maria Barrón, Brisa Barrón and Marbella Barrón, all of La Porte; siblings, Julio (Keri Marrs de Barrón ) Barrón of La Porte, Hernan Barrón of La Porte, Yesenia Barrón of Mexico, Oswaldo Barrón of Mexico, and Zorasa Barrón of Mexico; uncle, Roberto Bustos of California; many close friends; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, La Porte. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. Anyone attending the visitation and/or service is required to wear a mask.
