NewDay Foundation to follow COVID-19 guidelines at 18th annual concert May 1

Tickets are now on sale for the NewDay Foundation of La Porte’s 18th annual concert at the La Porte Civic Auditorium on May 1. Both floor table tickets and general admission tickets are available. Social distancing will be practiced. Everyone must wear facemasks when they are not seated. The number of tickets being sold is limited to allow for proper social distancing. And for those wanting a lot more distance, the event will be live streamed.

Jim Post, Neil Allesee, 350 West, Cripple Creek and Lomax Station will perform live. An online and in-person auction will be held and raffles will take place. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from 5 to 10 p.m.

Credit cards are also being accepted this year, but you will still need cash for the cash bar and to participate in the raffles (including the 50/50 raffle). Tickets are on sale at and at Thode Floral.

The mission of the NewDay Foundation is to help cancer patients as they struggle with the everyday challenges of treatments and the obstacles that they may face. The foundation hand-delivers Bags of Hope to first-time chemo and radiation patients as well as new teddy bears, coloring books and crayons, and reading/activity books to children at local hospitals to provide comfort as they experience the difficulties of cancer and side effects from chemotherapy.
