Man standing in travel lane of U.S. 421 is struck and killed

A Mishawaka man who was standing in the southbound travel lane of U.S. 421 was struck and killed Tuesday, April 27.

Tierus Lucas, 36, was struck by a car driven by Max Reimbold, 21, of Knox, shortly before 9 p.m. on U.S. 421 near CR-870S in rural Clinton Township.

Toxicology test results are pending, according to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office.
