    Dirk, Brook and family,
Our hears are hurting for you and we are sending you prayers, hugs, healing, comfort and peace – not just now but in the weeks and months ahead as you continue to heal and adjust although it will be a tough task. Although there is some consolation in knowing your dad (and mom) together and are whole, happy and healthy – it is still overwhelmingly difficult because you want them here. Where they are now is even more awesome and amazing than any of us could ever begin to envision. But no matter how old we are, or how old they are – the loss of a parent is one of the most devastating feelings and is only understood by their children. Even if unspoken or not often shown – please know that we are keeping you in our hearts and prayers now and in your continued journey called life. Thank God you and Brook have each other. Your brotherly bond is so very important. Always stay as close, bonded and connected as you can – no matter what! This too, will give so much peace and joy to your parents as they watch over both of you with unconditional love and pride.

I used to stop at Ken’s office which is one block from St Joseph chapel… Ken never knew he was part of my last confession at the church where he grew up… Ken was an outgoing man who I met as a teenager… A fellow LPHS grad (1961) Ken was brilliant with a deep curiosity… He loved computers and always bought the most advanced equipment… Ken could spend hours programming… I learned from Ken… With God’s grace I will apply that learning in a POSITIVE way…
    Stay on me Ken…

    Dirk and Brook and family,
We are so sorry to hear about your dad’s death. Also, we did not know until now about your mom’s passing earlier in the year. What good people they were and they raised great kids! May many memories of happy and fun times together give you peace and comfort in the days and months ahead and please know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and keep you.
