Purdue student Logan Notaro awarded sheriffs’ scholarship

The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association and the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office are proud to announce that La Porte County student Logan Notaro was recently awarded a $750 scholarship from the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association. Logan was one of 39 students from throughout the State of Indiana who were selected to receive the scholarships. Sheriff John Boyd recently presented the award to Logan at the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office.

Logan is an incoming sophomore at Purdue University, majoring in Law and Society. In addition, he is a member of the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). He is the son of Dominic and Sarah Notaro and a resident of Wanatah.  Logan is a 2020 graduate of South Central High School.  

Boyd states: “We are thrilled that Logan was one of 39 students selected statewide to receive this prestigious award. It is a pleasure to recognize and reward young people for their academic achievements. Logan is a wonderful young ambassador for La Porte County and the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association, and the men and women of the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office are very proud of him.”
