Slicer girls golfers get 2 conference wins over Crown Point, Portage

On Tuesday, La Porte was able to secure two conference victories over Crown Point and Portage at WhiteHawk.

Team scores were La Porte 176, Crown Point 181 and Portage 213.

Individual scores for the Slicers included Ella Schable’s personal best of 40, which also earned her medalist honors for the match. Kamryn Kubik finished with 44, Jayme Noll 45 and Molly Menne 47.

The JV team also secured two conference victories. Scores for La Porte were Lauren Miskowicz’s 48, Rosie Korell’s 51, Brooklyn Herod’s 53 and Adley Schable’s 56.

The Slicers celebrated the victories with a stop at Albanese on the way home.

Cougar boys defeat Marian in tennis

New Prairie trounced Marian in boys tennis, 5-0, on Tuesday.

New Prairie girls golfers defeat Riley

On Monday, the Cougar girls golf team defeated NIC foe South Bend Riley, 183-250.

Junior Jaiden Winters was medalist with 40, followed by sophomores Jenna Bauman, 46, and Jayden Flagg, 48; Junior Macaria Tierney, 49, and sophomore Hannah Kole, 52.

The win moves New Prairie to a 6-2 record in NIC play (tied for 3rd place) and 7-2 overall.

Slicer boys soccer team loses to Plymouth, 8-1

La Porte dropped a hard-fought game to Plymouth Monday away from home.

Coleman Taylor netted the only goal for the Slicers off a free kick late in the first half.
