Don’t forget: Battle of the Badges Wiffleball Tournament is this Saturday

 

La Porte County Family Advocates will host the first-ever Battle of the Badges Wiffleball Tournament this Saturday, Aug. 28, pitting the La Porte police and fire department teams against the Michigan City police and fire department teams.

This fun family event, a fundraiser for Family Advocates, will also include carnival games, food and family activities. It all takes place at the ballfield next to Cummings Lodge in Soldiers Memorial Park, La Porte.

The games:

– 9:30 a.m., LPPD vs. LPFD

– 11 a.m., MCPD vs. MCFD

– 2 p.m., championship game

Come and cheer on our local heroes!

Tickets are $10 for adults 18 and over and $5 for kids ages 6-17. Kids 5 and under attend for free.

Ticket purchase is valid for the entire day.

    I loved playing wiffle ball in our driveway on “F” street. Best way to develop your swing before the local baseball and softball leagues”!

    didn’t think the game existed anymore!! easy to play in the neighborhoods back then. figured it had gone ”virtual” now.

    Lawman..stop sitting on the web all day and climb out from under the rock..get outside and smell the roses dude!! There were over 90 wiffle ball teams at new Carlisle competing for the chance to play at Migley Field(a great venue!!) on sunday. Guess who won?? U figure it out…Snoop Dog would have loved it!
