NP girls soccer team loses to Washington

The Lady Cougars lost their conference matchup with South Bend Washington, 3-2, on Wednesday.

The Cougars fought hard but came up a little short in the end. New Prairie received goals from Catelyn Naragon and Emily Stachowski, both via penalty kicks. The Cougars also received strong defensive play from Sueanne Masters.

Lake Central shuts out LP girls soccer team

The Lady Slicers fell to Lake Central Tuesday night. La Porte fought hard with Amelia Hakes getting close to goal and shooting just wide.

The girls hustled and worked hard on their defending skills.

Cougar girls defeat Washington in volleyball

The Cougars bounced back to win 3-0 against South Bend Washington Wednesday.

Mirabellah Hernandez led with 9 kills followed by Ellie Michiaels with 7. Nevaeh Finn, Maddie McSurley and Haley Robinson each chipped in 4. McSurley also led with 8 digs and Michiaels contributed 5. Emma Fleck dished out 25 assists while also adding 4 aces.

LP boys tennis team defeats Merrillville

The Slicers defeated Merrillville, 4-1, Thursday.

Cougar girls fall to Victory Christian in soccer

The Lady Cougars lost their non-conference match with Victory Christian Academy, 5-0, Thursday.

LP volleyball team loses to Chesterton

The Slicers held a strong game but couldn’t come out on top, losing 3-1 to Chesterton Thursday.

Senior Aniya Kennedy led the offense with 16 kills and 6 blocks, and chipped in 19 digs on defense. Sophomore Bella Meier came out on top of setting with 38 assists and also pitched 27 digs. Senior Lesley Marshall was an unstoppable force in the back row, not letting anything hit the floor. She ended with 40 digs and 1 ace. Myrriam Dhoore, Legacy Thomas and Ava Holtz all added 9 kills.
