2 banks robbed in 2 days in Michigan City

 

A credit union and a bank were robbed within two days in Michigan City this week.

Members Advantage Credit Union, 3064 Ohio St., and Horizon Bank at 515 Franklin St. were robbed Sept. 29 and 30, respectively, according to Michigan City Police. The credit union robbery occurred at about 1:50 p.m. and the Horizon robbery at 10:30 a.m.

In the credit union robbery, the suspect fled on foot. In the Horizon robbery, the suspect was picked up by a vehicle. No weapons were displayed in either robbery.

“Additional information pertaining to this incident will not be released at this time in order to protect the  integrity of this ongoing investigation,” a police press release stated.
