A 4-year-old boy and his 6-year-old brother were playing in the bedroom of an apartment in Weir around 1pm on Monday. When his 26-year-old mother went to the toilet, her youngest son must have climbed out of bed and onto the window. The window was open and a fly screen was installed. The boy may have leaned into it, but didn’t like it. He fell about 9 meters onto the asphalt.
Hearing her son’s screams, the mother immediately ran to him outside the apartment. With the baby in her arms, she ran to relatives who alerted emergency services. After initial treatment, the boy was taken to Kepler University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
